Short Professional Bio

My name is Katie Barngrover. I’m a Certified Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner and the owner of Angel Wing Health, LLC.

I know the weight of bone-deep exhaustion all too well. Not long after welcoming my daughter into the world, I found myself trapped in a fog that wouldn't lift.

My energy vanished by midday and those stubborn "baby weight" pounds clung despite all my efforts. My days just felt “blah.” I snapped at my husband and children more than I care to admit, constantly rushing from task to task yet accomplishing frustratingly little.

Sleep had been a challenge for me even a decade before my daughter's birth. Since my mother struggled similarly, I dismissed it as an unfortunate genetic inheritance, or perhaps it was just an unwelcome part of aging. I convinced myself that perpetual tiredness was simply "normal" - the expected state of adulthood.

Two children later, my sleep deteriorated to a breaking point. Nights became a cruel ritual: staring at the ceiling for hours waiting for sleep to come, finally drifting off only to be jolted awake by the slightest sound, then beginning the maddening cycle all over again.

This continued through my daughter's first two years. I blamed the symptoms on being an "older" working mom juggling too many responsibilities.

I couldn't have been more wrong.

Everything changed when I discovered the true roots of my sleep issues through personal coaching with an FDN as well as some targeted functional lab tests.

The transformation was profound – my afternoon energy crashes disappeared completely. I now maintain my ideal weight effortlessly. My stress levels have dramatically decreased (despite my ever-growing to-do list), and my family regularly comments on the positive shift in my presence and patience.

The journey taught me that quality sleep isn't a luxury – it's the foundation that everything else builds upon. And more importantly, it showed me that exhaustion isn't something to endure; it's something to solve.
